Privacy Policy
ROAM is an iPhone app for finding great driving roads, made by BigR Ventures, LLC ("we"). The short version: the ROAM app collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-up and no tracking. What you add in the app stays on your iPhone.
What stays on your iPhone
The roads and scenic spots you mark, your name, your car, your home country, your profile photo, your free state and your settings are saved only on your iPhone. We never receive them. If you use Export my data, the app makes a file that you choose where to keep; we never see it. Deleting the app, or using Clear my data, removes them.
Your location
If you allow it, ROAM uses your location while the app is open to show roads near you and how far away they are. It's used on your iPhone only: ROAM doesn't save it, send it to us or share it. ROAM never uses your location in the background, and it works without it (you can search for a city instead).
Services the app uses
- Map tiles. To draw the map, the app downloads map images and labels from OpenFreeMap, a free map service built on OpenStreetMap data. Like any website, that service receives each request, which includes your IP address and the part of the map being shown. ROAM sends it nothing else.
- City search. When you search for a city, the name you type goes to Apple's location service (the one Apple Maps uses) to find it, under Apple's privacy policy.
- Directions and links. Get directions opens Apple Maps. Club and event links open their Instagram or website.
- ROAM Pass. Subscriptions are sold and managed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details or your Apple Account; Apple only tells the app whether your Pass is active.
This website
roamdriving.com uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising. It's hosted by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, processes your IP address to deliver the pages and protect the site.
Forms. If you send a message through the contact form, we receive your name, email and message so we can reply. If you join the launch list, we receive your email address to send you a note when ROAM launches. The forms are delivered by a form service that acts on our behalf. We don't sell or share these details, we don't add you to other lists, and we delete them when you ask.
Children
ROAM isn't directed at children under 13, and the app collects no personal data from anyone.
Your choices
To have a message or your launch-list email deleted, contact us below. Everything in the app is in your hands: Clear my data in Settings removes it.

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
